I have been Decompiling the .apk with apktools, Editing the XML, Png, and 9patch files, then compiling again with apktools. I sign the .apk with autosign. I mount my sdcard, Drop the signed .apk file on the root, Unmount sdcard, Move the file to System/App/ and overwrite the current one with root explorer.

Then i have to install, but the first time never installs it, I think it just deletes it?, so I have to restart my phone, After boot-up I navigate back to System/App/ With root explorer, Install the app and this time it works.

Finally after all this i can open the app and see the changes i have made, there has to be an easier way? Please show me your tricks! This whole process wastes a good 5-10 minutes and if something is not up to par....like 1 or 2 pixels being off on one those darn 9patch files:icon_cussing:, i have to restart the whole process....at this rate ill never finish

How do you test your theme in a productive manner?, Thanks alot!

Also if you want to look at the default images (for there guides on .9) just decompile the .apk from the beginning and then edit the file directly form it. That way you can take it directly to draw9patch.bat without drawing guides :icon_ banana:
