It looks pretty cool but I am not technical at all. Can I get it upgraded?

Thanks.

yes, wait until the update at the end of January...

Funny Frankie....

OP, I did a manual update to the current official OS. That was not complicated IMHO but rooting a Droid is a bit different. If you're not that great on a computer then what Frankie said is probably your best bet. What's the big hurry, my phone is running fine on 2.0.1.

And wait until the update does officially drop. Then you'll see all kinds of people complaining about it. That's the way these things work.

I did not know 2.1 was coming at end of January. Any ideas of what is coming with it or a website that explains?

This.

But it's only rumored and no official word yet. (Unless I missed something within the week I barely used the internet)

-I believe there will be 5 home screens now.
-The gallery has been upgraded and was completely revamped.
-Menus is much cleaner and some sort of animation
-Animated/Interactive wallpapers
-Browser supposedly responds faster
-Overall: phone runs smoother and more stable.
(That's all I know about it for now.)

My biggest hope for 2.1 is that it will allow true "touch your headset and voice dial" functionality
