just wanted to know think a thread for that dev is overdue unless i didnt find it
If you have questions, make sure you check out the dev's website, it will answer most of them
ill email him my question , i just didnt know if he/she was up for a discussion thread. i love the work as do others and since this is becoming a key app to 99% of rooted phones, obviously everyone knows this app.
may be asking to much i guess now that i think of it, but if they are on here and they do want a discussion thread maybe a post will pop up.
just a thought i had, it may or may not pan out
I agree that having the dev would be beneficial to the forums. Make a mention to him in your E-mail and point him toward the "Hacks" section
good idea, i hope they do , thatd be a slice of awsome
I have an account here, I'm just not active.
and my account here doesn't entitle me to setcpu? haha.
but seriously, my old house matched xda devs forum and it forced me to paint it before I could live in it, that's what keeps me from lurking there. (maybe others too?)
just wanted to say great job, also ive noticed lately no matter what profile says, or is on and off, i still get slow down when its asleep, even if profile is off, used to be able to let it sleep and download , just thought u should know. and thanks again i dont think there is a rooted phone out there that doesnt use ur app.
so far as I know, Unless you have max and min at the same setting, it will slow down when it's not in use regardless...
Yeah the speed will fluctuate between your Max and Min settings accordingly...
im noting changes. example. before i could be dl a large file, say a rom and put my phone down and while its asleep it will keep trucking along, now i have to set display not to sleep when im flashing sholes new roms.
i didnt drag him here for this, just in hopes to start a discussion thread with a dev that is KEY to rooting phones. well not key but show me one guy who rooted that doesnt want to overclock.
think of the potential
back to point. before the sleep profile would keep it working, as in i could feel heat when phone is asleep, now, phone sleeps and it cools down and slows DL
If you have the ondemand or conservative governor set, then the phone will cycle between the Max and Min settings all the time. This is by design. The only thing that the profiles do is set different Max and Min settings for different scenarios, but it is the governor (and therefore the Linux kernel) that actually controls the CPU speed.
Here is an article about the Linux kernel's governor setting:
