Using Google Calendar to synch, I was thinking, does it download the dates to the Droid, or does it pull the dates with the the internet connection? What happens if you are in an area without internet? Will the calendar dates still display?

it's a smartphone, not an internet phone. all of your email, docs, appointments and contacts will be available on your phone. if you want to test this, put your phone in airplane mode and do a battery pull.

when the device comes up again, you should have zero service and all of your information.
