Reading a report from the verge about how far windows phone has plummeted, I begin to ponder if maybe Microsoft should swallow their pride and open their device to Google play apps and services.
Before the Google - Microsoft war, manufacturers were tinkering with the idea of combining the strength of Android's market place with Microsoft programming in dual boot devices. Unfortunately Microsoft shut that down (Google wasn't happy about it either but technically Android is open source). I would hate to see Microsoft throw in the towel on phones because their interface is probably the easiest phone interface to use between them, Android, and Apple. I really think Microsoft can grow stronger by opening their device to the rich app market of GPAS, it worked for BlackBerry.

Should Microsoft throw in the towel?

    Thoughts?
