Is it possible to do a full backup with non-rooted Droid? I need to get it replaced but don't want to go through the whole reinstall all my apps & settings.

A full backup like system and everything i dont think is possible without root. But you can backup the apps and possibly some settings. there are some apps on the market that do this though. Lookout is one of them. Google also has a backup service that reinstalls apps.

Download astro file manager and use it to backup your apps. Also the market backsup your apps so that if you got a new phone it would automatically redownload your apps once you sync your google account.

As for settings if you allowed it some of your settings are synced to your google account like (network settings, etc)

Hope this helps you

I have the same problem. Getting a new Droid 1 in a couple of days. Contacts are also backed up, apps are on the market. What's the difference between that and Astro and other backup applications?
