Is it possible to apply a theme without rooting?

I am a newbie and need some help, Is it possible to apply a theme without rooting? If so what applications or apps are used for applying themes without rooting?

No its not possible. Closest u can get is launcher pro or adw apps. Rooting isn't that hard though just follow directions. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Rooting gives you permission to access or change any file on your phone, including any system files that Motorola/Verizon locked at the factory. When you root, you gain the ability to modify system settings, overclock, apply themes, etc etc. Do some reading on the forums, or go to appbrain.com and type in "root" for an idea of all the apps that are for rooted users only. Based on the few posts I've seen from you here, no, you don't need it yet.
