I used galaxy s7 by the way. I'm assuming that my otg cables I ordered from amazon are garbage. These K-Smile micro usb 2.0 otg cables corrupted my usb drives especially my lexar 128gb drive. So is it possible then? What otg cable do you folks use for galaxy s7 etc?

Yes, there are many garbage otg cables. Not sure if they could ruin your USB drives. I suppose if you were using the cable to transfer data and the transfer was interupted because the cable does not maintain a good connection, then files that are in the process of being transferred could get broken up. What happens if you use the cable that came with your phone or at least a better quality cable? Are you able to access the info on your USB?
