Is it OK to do this . . . ?

So my GF just got me the docking station for the Droid that puts it into clock/weather station mode. I really love it. But are these screens designed so that its okay for me to dock it and put it in nightmode everynight? I don't want to burn out the screen prematurely or anything.

Thoughts?

You're fine. I've been using mine in the dock since November 13. Before that I used my BB Storm for a year like that as an alarm clock. There's no way you're going to hurt the device.

Even if you were to leave it in the Dock for years you would be OK. Maybe after 5 years you should start to worry. But then if you have it still after 2 years I will be worried about you.

If you want, hit the Power/Sleep button & the display will go out (some things will turn it back on, like an incoming call).
