Probably not. We'd need the full source of the iphone OS, which we'll never get from apple.

    Nice thought though.

How is it a nice thought? The iphone 3gs uses the same chipset...so get an iphone if you want the os.

They use the same chipset but in different ways. One is all in one, and the other is cpu and dedicated gpu.

I mean if you had a jailbroken iphone it COULD be possible to put the OS on the phone but i'd imagine it would take more then just a minor tweaking, but that's just my thought on it.

It would take more than a ton of tweaking and not worth the time. Yep I guess an iphone with a keyboard would be nice. But just putting together a custom api for opening the droid app market instead if it auto opening the apple app store would be a challengs. Not to mention the orders for syncing in regards to itunes, data access and so many other things.

Crap...jailbreaking and unlocking it still tethered so there isnt even a work around for that. Haha, I have a headache thinking of it.

i guess thats something to work around...jailbreaking and all that. But i think if someones gonna pull this off, thats a realy good idea.....jailbreaking it....and solving the thethered problem.

i know the android and the iphone OS have their ups and downs and theyre equal in quality. i just want the iphone os so i can get the best of both worlds- as you guys said, an iphone with kb and 5 megapixel cam AND the kazzzilllionzz of apps on the itunes store AND all that good android openess.

Im also thinking of Mac's bootcamp where you can run Mac os and windows. why not do the same for android and iphone?????
