All you haters out there take notice, this kid has had no formal training and makes one of the most stable and popular Roms out there. And he is just starting to learn to build from source. So back off.

0.5 is gonna be great and 0.6 from source, that will be sick!

Couldnt agree with you all more. I dont understand how people bash him, he doesnt build from source YET because he hasnt learned how. Once BB is from source it may turn into skynet hahaha

I am not a hater, just not impressed with BB myself. My 'Luna Theme' currently supports BB and will continue to do so until I feel it is not necessary. I am always glad and curious to see a new ROM release and I will flash the new BB and use if for a few days to test it out and theme it. I found personally from testing UD, BB, and Sapphire that BB seemed to be the most choppy and have the most lag to it. Strange because I remember early version of BB being incredibly snappy and smooth. The new Sapphire is nice also, but seemed to have a slower performance on my phone than version 0.8.4. The newest UD ROM seems to keep things slick even with adding more extra goodies. As I have said though, I love seeing new stuff and I will test out the newest BB when it is released. Looking forward to it...

On a side note though, how come these kids get interviews and I don't! I have plenty of blabbering to do! It's what I am bets at! Ask me questions! Hah.

Man, if Pete can do it I almost want to learn some code so I can take a stab at a few apps I have in mind.

alm0614 - Haha, maybe I will get an interview! I will keep Luna on BB, and as I have said I can't wait to see some new stuff on the table... I just wish Google would open up some employment and hire a bunch of ROM coders and some themers. Give us jobs!

If you dont know, from what ive hear from other devs his latest v0.4 is basically FRF48B with some added features. Nothing major was done so that would be why its "choppy". I love pete but hate his last release.

    Haha i told you!

that would be awesome if google like hired some devs and theme-ers and had an app where we could easily switch between ROMS and themes and they would all be interchangable..talk about open source hah

Actually, it's to Google's and everyone's benefit to leave these guys independent (avoid groupthink) and let them and the rooters be beta testers, taking the best ideas and solutions to incorporate into the official Android.

Now, it would be interesting if these guys joined forces and started a company, expanding beyond ROMs and themes into apps. Since rooting is no longer illegal, it could be a viable business....100k users times $10 annual subscription would be $1M in revenues with minimal overhead. And that's just for roms....add in themes, apps and some support and you might get $30 in annual subs. A reputable company with support and proven quality could also significantly grow the base of rooted users.

    why would rooting be illegal
At no point does it get you paid apps for free,
You own the phone not like you are cancelling your cell contract and returning it,

    1. Smart-phones: Jail-breaking and rooting is no longer illegal, as it does not alter the SALE of the phones, or really qualify as an act of piracy in itself. Up front, this ruling was squarely directed at Apple and the iPhone. was arguing that jail-breaking is illegal, and a copyright infringement since the act actually uses small bits of Apple code. The Register disagreed since it was such a small portion that was being used. Regardless of who it was targeted against, there is now no legal ramifications of people rooting their handsets to be able to use that need root to function.

kind of like game console hacking it isnt illegal to hack it. It becomes illegal depending what you do after the hack.

i am not arguing the fact i am just saying that was one of the many compounded stupid laws we have

now why would you try and discourage him in that manor.
i am a big fan of pete and his work but this guy takes his time and effort to produce a theme for all of us to use. wether or not we do is irrelevant
