Intermitten Static

About a month or so ago for no reason my D1 started having static instead of playing the ringtone. I rebooted the phone and it cleared up. Every once in a while it will do the same thing, static and clears up with a reboot. No issues with making calls or receiving calls except that the ringtone is nothing but static until I reboot the phone.

Anybody else have this problem? Or know why it's doing this?

Battery dying?
Something changed?
New software/apps installed?

Battery is usually more than half when it does this. I don't really install a lot of apps, and definatly didn't install a new one the first time this happened.

Tried making a call while plugged into a charger?
The battery indicator is not noted for being super accurate.

FWIW, I believe mine was related to mass-app-deletion when going through apps I wasn't using. A reboot seemed to fix it. When it did happen, it was consistent. Hasn't happened in over a week after rebooting.
