Hey chevy, any chance we'll see some new kernels with the new ' interactive' governor included? I've heard good things and yours are some off the only kernels my phone likes. :)

Well that didn't take long - found the source, included it in my kernel - testing soon! :)

Seems to run fine - will likely create a new set of kernels with this governor - stay tuned!

And of course - FULL credit will be given to Mike Chan as the author and Cyanogen as the committer

What exactly are the advantages of this interactive governor?? Any progress on getting that compcache implemented in as well?

Was going to direct to Slayher but looks like someone beat me to it, they're also in the newest Sapphire kernels. Looking forward to seeing it in yours, Chevy, thanks!

See the more detailed description here, but basically it ramps up more responsively than ondemand and may have slightly worse battery life (although think the jury's still out on that really). I'm trying out a Sapphire version now I'll soon be able to compare battery life.

No progress on compcache - I can download a bone-stock kernel, configure for sholes, change JUST SWAP to be on, and my phone will not boot. Turn SWAP off, boots no issues. I've asked the Sapphire team and they say they have no idea. I just don't understand how ONE change can fail it, and yet nobody seems to know how they are managing to build it. Bizarre! Countless searches have turned up nothing. There is no logcat, as the system doesn't even get to start ... so no error messages.

Sounds very complicated. There doesn't really seem to be, or anything that I could find, a definitive review of compcache. I've heard some good things about it, and only one person has said they would just stick with the default memory management. Guess only time will tell where this goes. Thanks for the update!:)

What about the linux swap partition support? Any progress on that front? I know it was pulled because of bootlooping, but did you end up figuring out a solution?
