    Guys,

Am a newbie here, and this is my first post calling for help. I had downloaded and installed the gingerbread 2.3.3 by TBH which was leaked last night and now my phone has become very slow and hangs and also heats up a lot. I have also lost all the root permissions which I had so when I tried to get back my Apex ROM it was not letting me reboot in recovery mode. Is there any way to get rid of this OS and install my old ones. Please help me!!!!!!

P.S: If I have made any mistake in posting this, please excuse as this is my first post.
    Thanks guys

Boot into recovery (I don't have a droid x so I don't know what you hold) and then wipe eveything.

I also tried that, when I try booting into recovery it reaches the screen where it shows an exclamation mark and stops there. Does not enter the recovery mode.

Yes please, I do need the link. Also, I do not have root permissions right now? Will it still work?

Yes it will because it doesn't require root to run since it runs from your computer.

Boot into stock recovery and wipe data/cache, should have told you to do that when you were done sbf'ing anyways lol.

@13th angel: Have one more question, (sorry am a newbie) When you say wipe data, does that mean wipe all the user data from the memory stick too??

It will only wipe your phone, nothing else.

    recovery help

Pressing the search button after you see the exclamation mark doesn't get me into recovery. How do I get past this? I loaded the rooted 2.3.3 to my DX and forgot to wipe cache and data. Please help!

    Thanks,
    Andrew

EDIT: FOUND IT! when you're at the exclamation mark, press both volume buttons! yay!

Should be able to press Volume Up/Down at same time and that should work!
