Things were fine for a week or two with DroidMod 1.0 but now I noticed my phone will just turn off by itself. Not sure what's causing that.
Anyone know? Anyone else experience this?

Install SETCPU and lower your overclock rate to something rational. I upgraded a friend to DM1.0 today (dmupdater makes it easy). It ran hot. I installed SETCPU and found it at 1200MHz (1.2GHz). Lowered it to 600MHz and it ran fine.

Alternative: Install AdamZ's low-voltage kernels. I run 250MHz-1100MHz low voltage on my SG6.0 system.

I agree. I didnt know that DMupdater came with an overclocked kernel but that was the first thing that came to my mind. If you need instructions im sure many people have posted how to's but I know in the blackdroid section of the ROMS section has instructions posted every time he comes out wiht a new mod... actually ill link you...

    Thanks guys...I appreciate the help.
I do have my SetCPU set correctly. I only have it at 800mhz..never above that.

Per the link to AdamZs overclocking kernels. I'm a bit confused.
Which one do I download?..and when I do download it then what?
I don't see any instructions on the link that tells you what to do nor
    which one(s) to download.

I never knew there was something else that can be overclocked.
I thought SetCPU set the overclocking for the whole phone....??
::confused::...sorry guys for not being 'up to speed' with the terms/details.

Both AdamZ and Chevy have lots of kernels. They suggest you try the low-voltage ones first, using the slowest speeds and working your way up until you find something that makes your phone run the way you want.

They say at the highest speeds, depending on your specific device it may require a medium-voltage kernel to work.
