Hello All! I have installed the Droid Roms 2.0.6 (formerly Sholes) and the new DMUpdater. My problem is that I can not remove the SMUpdater icon from my app drawer. I did the uninstall of SMUpdater through settings>applications since had originally decided to buy the SMUpdater to support development. It told me the uninstall was not successful however the application shows as not installed on the phone but the icon remains. Is there a way to remove this through adb or terminal? Any help is appreciated! By the way 2.0.6 seems to run a lot cooler than the 2.0.5 i was running!

The Sholes icon is still there for me too, even after uninstalling it.

When the release of DroidMod 1.0 comes out it will remove the icon for you. I am using the beta test and it removed the SMUpdater from my drawer.

I just installed DMupdater last night and after flashing the 2.0.6 rom I then uninstalled SMupdate and then reflashed the ROM again but this time making sure to have SMUpdate selected to not be installed.

This worked for me and I no longer have SMupdate on my Droid.

I still have the SM Updater on my Droid and it's still not showing a conncection of any kind, I get an error.

I guess I'll just delete it, I'm not going to use it anyway.

I downloaded the 2.0.6 file but decided to wait on the install until an app comes out from DroidMod, but I still can't find one. I'm running SmokedGlass 4.5, is that rom the reason my search for DroidMod comes up blank?

If you downloaded the apk file from your phone it should install and run without a problem. If you d'loaded onto your pc, you need to copy the file to your phone and run it using Astro File or something similar to install

I used root explorer, moved the .apk into the /data/app/ folder and then when I clicked on it it gave me the option to "install". That should work for you :D
