    Hello,
I rooted my phone via the SMUpdate application I downloaded from the market and it appears it is no longer on there. Is there a tutorial on how I can install a different rom via this application?

Without going into a bunch of details, sholesmod is no longer and has been replaced by droidmod. To get the updater go to DroidMod - Everything Droid doesn't, DroidMod does.. You will be looking for DMupdate.

no, only need to root once.

you need to find the step by step tutorials on how to install the other roms. it's not hard at all... you will learn a ton on how it all works. but if you don't want to do anything and let an app do it all for you, download "Rom Manager" from the market. the free version will install CyanogenMod. The paid for version can dowload many other roms and install it for you as well.
