.5 installed but reinstall of my apps are mostly failing. If I search Market it is not finding stuff (e.g. Titanium Backup)

    These notes for install:
    Installation Notes:
-Wiping data & cache is MANDATORY
-After initial install, DO NOT touch your phone until it reboots itself
-Remove any apps from the sdcard that you do not want to have restored

    are pretty vague.

    What does 'initial install' mean?
When can I touch my phone?

I touched it to enter my gmail ID. WTF

Don't touch your phone at all. Don't try to log into your Google account. Don't do anything even if it seems to take awhile to reboot itself. It will. Then proceed as normal.

so when it reboots itself, what should I see that will mean it is actually DONE?

going to try to redo now, because it is definitely acting screwy.

Once u install it after full wipe, it will load as usual to the google sign in. Let it sit at that screen until u s see it reboot. After that second reboot, sign into Google account

Yup. Automatically. That's why wipe and reboot are critical. Auto restore will take any apps u backed up via astro or backup tool. Market will still download google apps automatically and any updates also.
