Incredible phone handling

Hi all,
I got a droid incredible and then for updated to froyo 2.2 and droid version couple of weeks ago. here are some issues that I am facing on making phone calls. please help.
1. If I am on a call and I receive another call, I am not able to conference that call into my first call.
2. If I am on a call and I receive another call, and if the call 2 hangs up, I still see that number as active in my call list. If I click on that call and hang up, it hangs up my call 1 as well.

pretty sure it is froyo, my girlfriends LG Ally does the same thing. After spending 1 hr w/ verizon tech support and 1/2 hr w/ lg tech support, the Verizon manager at the Lawndale ave. store in Greensboro N.C. said that is the way three way calling is supposed to work. All three assured us no one else had reported this as being a problem.
