I was wondering I think I heard that gorilla glass and Lcd screen's are scratch proof so is the Lcd on Inc2 Scratch proof because then I could take of my screen protector since it got scratched a little.

Somewhere on this amazing ball of creation!
It really depends... Some people swear by screen protectors while others say they're unnecessary... I personally use one, just because I don't want to risk any scratches on my screen. It really depends. It is fortified glass so it shouldn't scratch. But you never know...

It depends on how you treat the device and what else you carry in pockets, etc. Gorilla Glass is impact resistant and scratch resistant, but not scratch-proof. About the only way that would happen would be if the screen was made of diamond. Next best thing would be sapphire, like what is used in high end watch glass, as that can only be scratched by diamond, but it is brittle and can break from impact.

So the best advice is if there is anything else in the pocket or wherever you carry it, then use the protector. I always carry my device in its own pocket, so no risk of scratches. I have not a visible scratch on the Incredible 2 or my 2 year old OG Droid that has been dropped face down on the screen probably a dozen times on asphalt and concrete with no damage.

Gorilla Glass makes a huge difference compared to soda-lime glass, but still is glass, and as such, can break or scratch or chip if the circumstances are right.

Had mine since the beginning with no scratch protector at all. No scratches in the least. I just make it a point of not carrying it in the same pocket as my keys and knife. Been no problem.

Htc doesn't use Gorilla glass. Moto does.
Screen protectors are for girls...

In this case I would like to be wrong. I love Gorolls glass.
I had D1 and I showed it off to some iphone heads by taking my car key to it.

i've always taken claims like "scratch proof, water proof, smash proof, ding proof" as a challenge. Awesome to know my phone has a "scratch proof" screen, however i'll just leave my screen protector on and take your words for it ;p

Gorilla glass is like air travel. NonGG is like a car travel. You are supposed to be safer via the air, but all it takes is one crash that you are on to ruin your day and blow that theory away

Sent from someplace, and with something that you need not worry about.
