It can be app, function, etc. Just whatever you feel is the best part about it.

I'd have to say the speech recognition on the searches. Impresses the bejeepers out of everybody who sees it go.

It does kind of feel weird though doing it sometimes in public.

People look at you like you just said "Wonder Twin Powers, ACTIVATE" or "By the power of Greyskull!" or "Shazam!" or something.

i was quite impressed with the speech recognition myself. I can get it to recognize things i say with a car full of loud kids.

The best part in my opinion has to be the near seamless integration with my Google digital life - gmail, gcal, reader - all updated in real time and two-way.

Google maps turn by turn nav is incredible. Coming from an old Mio unit, it's like I've advanced 50 years in GPS technology - and it's free!

OK....lets see.......
There's no Windows Start Button :icon_ devil:

OK seriously, in order of inportance.....

  • Huge capacitive screen.
  • Web browsing, speed and ease of navigation
  • Voice Search - amazed at the accuracy
  • Google Navigation - free and it works
  • Android App Store
Tomorrow makes it 1 week since I got the Droid. Totally impressed.

I'm impressed with how flexible the OS is. It may be the same thing that makes it a bit difficult to use but it's what makes it so powerful.

It will play Youtube videos, music, surf the web, run an FTP server... I can't wait for the really powerful apps to show up.

Well for me there is no one 'best' part so I'll name them in order:

-high res screen
-speed
-browser (although I prefer Dolphin now)
-google nav / google maps
-email
-calendar
-phone
-slide out keyboard

Oh, forgot to mention the impressive OS that is Android. I know I left out a few others.

The flexibility. Ie, the way it lets me/us set up and use the phone exactly the way I/we want to.

The entire package, really. There's no one thing that stands out that I don't constantly rave about to all my friends.

Hell, first day I had it, that's all my Facebook updates consisted of. DROID this, and DROID that.

...I think I may have converted a couple o' people.
