In the navigation program, what is the colored dot??

I was using my GPS all weekend, and in the lower left corner next to the time to destination there is a colored dot. Sometimes it is green, sometimes it is red, and sometimes orange or grey. What the heck does that dot mean???

I don't have the Droid in front of me but if I recall correctly it's the GPS signal strength.

I found the answer, it is the color of the current traffic conditions on that part of your route.

If you touch it, it will switch you to traffic view.

what do the different colors of the dot mean, i can figure out green yellow and red obviously, but what about grey, just mean it cant get traffic data or what?
