I'm using my droid maxx at the moment and looking to upgrade to something new. I was considering the turbo but have read the 4g service is horrible on that model. Any input on what's a solid device that is rootable easily

This forum is a wealth of knowledge. I suggest you take some time to browse the threads for the Turbo and any other device you might be considering. You'll get a good feel for what people like and don't like about each device and be able to decide for yourself what's most important to you. Every phone has features that some people love and some people hate or that work for some, but not for others.

Many people have already contributed this information to threads on pretty much every device that's available right now in those sections.
