I made this custom bootanimation as a dedication for Sadie who passed away on 12/19/2009. This was the daughter of DF member, atticus. I thought I would share this animation for others in her memory for their family, please keep them in your prayers.

    1.Rename file sadie.zip to bootanimation.zip

    2.Copy or Move File

    3.Go to System/Media

    4.Select Read/Write setting

5.Paste and click OK to overwrite(possibly copy this to another directory for a backup or simply rename to .bak before overwriting/pasting or you will lose the bootanimation already in your phone)

6.Long press to generate menu and select permissions

7.Select rw-r-r or use all permissions

    8.Select Read/Only setting

    9.Reboot and Enjoy:yahoo:

    Another option is to:

put the bootanimation.zip, using terminal into data/local ...
    typing command:

    #su
    #cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /data/local/

Keep the spaces it won't work without them also do not type the # symbols
    # = superuser privileges
$ = no super user privileges

My heart goes out to you, I hope you like this animation. Just click the preview to download.

No prob. I was honored to do it. My heart goes out to them. I can't imagine how I would cope with the pain of such a loss as I have a son who is eight myself and he is my whole motivation in life.

One of the kindest and most beautiful things I have ever seen somebody do for a member on any forum. You have just made atticus's day and made him SO very happy. Feels good doesn't it? : ) It's moments like this when you realize how much better it is to give than to recieve.

Incredible.......my respect meter has just blown up.

That is awesome liquidzgrl!. Atticus, I will be running this boot animation for the month of December in honor of your Sadie, and all the other children. I have been blessed, and can not begin to understand what you have been through.

you know, with each and every comment, I still can't get over the overwhelming support everyone here has offered. It's nothing short of astonishing. Really, every body, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You. If nothing else, this has brought to light awareness for such a worthy (and often, forgotten) issue. March for Babies, Footprints on the Heart, etc.. Most people can't comprehend what it's like to be the parent of a Stillbirth. I know I never did. But i'll tell you what ....it's a pain that I wouldn't wish on my Greatest Enemy. Though we are blessed to have our 3 year old son, Landon.

But what Liquidzgrl did, was honestly, one of the, if not THE, sweetest thing anyone has ever done for us in our baby girls memory. I always knew DroidForums was a Very supportive, and family-friendly community ...but this just goes Above and Beyond ANYTHING I ever expected from an internet Forum. I was a bit "iffy" on even requesting a bootani, wasn't sure if that was "against code", thought for sure i'd be closed within 2 minutes. But man, i'm sure glad I took chance, and posted the OP. I couldn't have asked for a better response. I know I've said this a million times, but I feel I can't say it enough ...Thank You EVERYONE!

Atticus my heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I will be running this boot animation in your daughter's honor for the month of December also. I've met many of the nicest people in this forum, and in my many years of life never saw such a close knit group as here on DF. Liquidz thanks for all the hard work on this.

Wow, who would have thought that a thread on a forum would have me sitting here with tears running down my face?

Atticus, I can't begin to understand the depth of your loss, but my heart hurts for you and your family and I feel deeply for all of you.

Liquidzgrl, as you know, I have great admiration for your work, but your beautiful, heartfelt gesture embodied in this boot animation goes beyond words -- you are truly a wonderful person and a great artist.
