This is my first time rooting my phone and adding a new build. Im from the world of blackberrys with millions of instructions so i thought i could handle this one. Well im stuck in the rebooting stage for about 30 mins now. Ive done batt pulls but to no avail every time i re install the battery, here comes the boot loop. Does anyone have any suggestions or tricks i may use to turn my brick back into a phone?

You were flashing a rom? If you forgot to wipe data it could be as simple as doing it now.

When you put the batt back in, boot into recovery by holding the x key and power button. Once in recovery, rewipe and reflash your rom. You may also want to redownload the rom and put on your sdcard, in case the dl was corrupt. You can mount the sdcard while in recovery.

If you didn't wipe it then that's the problem. You must wipe data when flashing roms. You can probably just follow huskers instructions to get into recovery and wipe data now.

No, don't just wait. All you'll do is run down your batt. Do the hard boot into recovery and wipe. No wipey, and you get everyone's favorite cereal, boot loops, every time...

ok huskerkate. I did the power and x button. Now im in clockwork mod recovery v2.5.0.1

    my options are:

    reboot system now
    apply sdcard:update.zip
    wipe data/factory reset
    wipe cache partition
    install zip from sdcard
    nandroid
    partitions menu
    advanced

I have already chosen reboot system and it put me back into the boot loop. where do i go next

It should boot like normal and you'll have to activate the phone and really instal your apps

Wipe data; wipe cache; go into partitions menu and format boot and format system. Then install your rom again from the sdcard, and reboot.
