I finally downloaded 2.2 and I have to say except for a few tiny bugs the X does work a bit better. The battery life for me still sucks but Im not seeing all of the other issues mentioned in the fourm. The version is
    2.3.1.5.M8810. Just an update.

The battery life is dramatically improved in 2.2 from my experience. I am getting a 50% increase in battery life with the 2.2 update...

The version by the way should show 2.3.15.MB810.Verizon.en.US

leave your wifi and gps on and see how much they don't kill your battery....that was one major complaint of 2.1

I don't leave GPS on unless I am using it... never have. WIFI is always on, however I have found that it causes some clicking during audio playback if you drive into an area that has a WIFI signal that the phone detects.
