I was reading through random pages in this thread for some cool APPS and I found one.

The APP that when you wake your DROID up, you don't need to do the slider thing.

Sadly, I accidently clicked a new page and I forgot the name of it or what page it was on...

Any ideas?

just turn off "notifications" in the stock mms app


or if your rooted you can use root explorer to delete the stock mms all together, which is what i do

haha thanks ... i'm a re-re apparently ... first droid ever (droid x that is) and it's AMAZING ... just learning all the ins and outs

ok maybe another horrible question ... i just installed home++ and the bar at the top went away ... i saw it said when i first installed it what to do ... but then i had to go through 50 more screens and forgot where to go for it ...

or is there any other tips to show some type of alert when i receive a text??

the one thing keeping me away from home++ is that the notification bar is gone. is there a way to keep up on the top visible on home++?

Just long press the exclamation icon lower right in the power strip to toggle on/off.
