I've been searching with no results, could be this search engine on this site.

I'm looking for an icon pack of some sort. With some inverted stock icons maybe, and some custom ones.

Is there anything like this available? If so how would they be installed?

There is a huge list of icon packs on the XDA forums but I dont have the link for you. Should be easy to find in a search

This was a good response you guys gave me exactly what I asked.

Here is my problem I'm sort of overwhelmed with the amount of icons. I just want some closer to stock, inverted maybe, icons I've seen some nice ones in pics on forums.

What is everyone else using? Or where can I find just simple icons for android?

here's an option: if you have GIMP and winrar, you can just pull the icons out of the APKs that you want and use GIMP to invert them. using the bettercut app you can set them as the icons on your home pages.

    that's what i'm doing now :)

That would be sweet. Where are the stock icon files located?

it varies. just drag the entire /res folder onto your desktop and it's usually in /res/drawable-hdpi and it's usually named "icon*.png". you'll recognize it when you see it.

just drag your icon to GIMP>colors>invert>ctrl+s, then drag the icon to your sdcard. i just created a folder on the root of my /sdcard called "b&wicons" and stuck them in there.

then using bettercut (this is a pay-for app), longpress on home>create shortcut>pick your activity>bettercut>installed apps, from there it should be pretty intuitive.

    hope that helps.

I hate to be a pain but I don't see /res/ folder I even did a search in root explorer.

Any ideas on what I'm missing?

sorry, it's in the /res folder from the app that you're trying to get the icon from. you'll have to do this for each app icon you want to replace.

so copy the apk's w/ icons you want to replace to your sdcard, then open them using winrar. drag the /res folder onto your desktop and look for the icon :)

like i said, it'll take some time & patience.

I found that pulling the .png's from the /system/app/"program".apk files is a pain. So I found a stock icon pack online and just downloaded that and modified those.

    So... thanks for your help.
