I heard that low voltage kernels on the Droid saves alot of battery life and makes the phone a bit more stable.

Im all new to this, and I want to try to do this. My droid is running CyanogenMod 7.0.3 and I want to put a LV kernel on it. Anyone teach me how to do this?

    Much help, appreciated.

I use low to ultra low kernels and have had good luck on my og running CM 7.0.3. Medium kernels seem to work fine @ lower speeds, 800mhz is as high as I go with med voltage.

I only have used chevyno1 and peter alfonso (bugless beast) kernels since I've been in the rooting world, both have worked fine for me. ultra low will give ya stellar battery life.

To install, I've only used .zip files installed via clockwork recovery to flash. Pm me if u need more help.

    Good luck!

First, you should know what a kernel is. If you dont, then you will lack knowing why they save battery and make your phone more stable, and which ones to choose.
