I think turning off LTE and turning on CDMA only is draining the battery as well.

Turning off LTE and turning on CDMA only is draining the battery as well.

I just did a test proving to me that switching the radio to CDMA only is possibly linked to the battery draining on our lte Verizon nexus phones.

I rebooted my phone and turned the radio on to cdma only and saw a dramatic drop in battery life for about 30 mins. I then turned LTE back on and the battery actually stopped draining instantly! I did turn on wifi at the end and saw an increase in battery life believe it or not.

Take a look at the screen shot.

Fyi this is with the extended battery that I just installed today.

I'd expected wifi to draw the least ...by far..my razr drains noticeably faster with 4g than 3g...but I noticed it drains the fastest when its constantly switching between 3/4g....

Nah maybe its just ur area or something. Here's mine with a extended battery. This is the first day I've turned it to CDMA only cause I only live in a 3G area. 2nd day with my extended battery.

For the last few days I have been using Locale to disable 4G at work and it saves alot of battery. On average with 4G on after a 10 hour shift I have 30% battery. When I turn off 4G, 3G only I have 60-70% left.
