Wow, I did not know it did scren shots. I dont know how I can tell if I have .215....

The CPU spy has changed, it now show:

You still have .211 You need to upgrade to .215 Maybe someone can attach the link with the dl and instructions? If not, I'll find them and post. Btw, did you ever do a factory data reset? If not, i would highly recommend that you do. After that you will need to do battery meter training (draining the phone battery down to 10% then recharging while the phone is powered off).

You are on .211 (see it in the version number, in the middle? )

Not sure about that update to 215 it might take you off the update path. I know we can go back, but it does require a bit of work. I think it may help a little with battery but not much.
It looks like you rebooted, that resets the CPU data.

No offense intended to anyone but be sure to do a bit of research, and understand what you're doing before do any modifications. I know it's from moto, but not exactly official.

So, I went to that link and he says that it's optional to do a factory reset when installing the. 215 leak. What are the benefits to this? Also, what if I don't and go through with this? Are all my apps, data, settings, pics, etc going to be erased? I want to do this but I don't want stuff to be lost.

Your apps will be deleted but not pics, music, etc.
Google will restore your apps, but you will have to redo settings. It will make for a cleaner install. Sometimes data gets corrupted in the update.
I'm not sure there is a disadvantage to doing FDR after if you have problems.
You should definitely wipe cache in recovery. Sometimes you can fix apps by deleting app cache and data in each if they act funny.

Well, according to DetCochran's post...he/she is experiencing significant battery loss since the ICS update. According to everything I've heard and read, it sounds like he/she needs to do a FDR (if not done already), .215 update (obviously not done yet), and battery training. From my own experience and the experiences of others, it significantly increases battery life. However, maybe I'm wrong and I'm misunderstanding DetCochran?

I don't disagree that a FDR could be very helpful. When i first updated I didn't but did wipe system cache.
After moving to 215 I did FDR. I am in a 3G only area, 215 updated the LTE radio and the kernel so the new radio may have provided some with significant battery improvements on 4G. I haven't seen much. Every phone and user is different.

I suspect a cache wipe would help Det. It sounds like she (i think) is having keep awake problems. Or, the bug that prevents deep sleep. Turn on before unplug should help that.
No expert here. Just lots of experimentation.

GSam battery app will give some good info about what's draining battery. It's free.
