After following all the steps to install bugless beast on the following thread my phone is stuck on the moto start up screen and won't continue. "How-to: Install bugless beast for noobs!" http://www.droidforums.net/forum/hacking-help/19818-how-install-bugless-beast-noobs.html.

I followed everything exactly (except I installed 7.4 instead of 7.2). When I went to reboot it simply wont go past the start up screen. I took out the battery after a while and tryed to turn it on again but I had the same problem. Please help! I'm freaking out here.

In step 18, you're prompted to make a backup before applying the update.zip. This is when it may come in handy, but as long as you have sprecovery, it'll be fine

Assuming you made a backup, pull the battery to stop rebooting then put it back in and power back on while holding the 'x' key. This should boot you into recovery...select backup/restore and then simple restore (latest) should get you to the pre-rom state. After that, I recommend trying the nandroid install method for the first ROM install, although you'll have to re'dl apps and such.

    Good luck!

It worked. Thank you! I tried booting in recovery but it wasn't working. After a couple tries I got back into recovery. Now I can sleep.... How do you delete this thread?

I think we should sticky something saying "Do not use the word "bricked", as this has never been done yet".

Getting sick of hearing this word. Its almost impossible to brick the Droid.

Somebody did a big thread on it. Won't stop people from using the word.

I used it so I would get a quick response back. Sorry for using the "B" word. I didn't know it was such a crime.

Glad you left the thread up. I think that my backup is somehow fried. Whenever I try to go back to stock, Voice Search is gone. Not in my menu, gone from the Google Search widget...just gone. Plus, my maps keep FC-ing. If I keep Sholes running, those things work. Stock, they do not work.

I've got copies of the virgin oem backup and the no root no busybox backup, but when I restore them with nandroid, it errors out.

How can I get back to true stock??

Heh, its not. Its just seems EVERYONE uses it. I'd have done the same, actually. I thought I screwed up my phone too and I was scared for about 20 minutes. :)

same thing happened to me last night, I tried to install BB using the update file instead of nandroid, it just kept going from the eye, to the droid screen, to the lock screen, to the eye and so on, finally loaded an old file and used nandroid and it works flawlessly.
