    You cannot upgrade the operating system yourself until the device has been rooted (see the Hacks section of the forum for much more info). Till then we have to wait for an official release.

    Well atleast I got it out there for the dev's about the new sdk!! Time to wait it out!!!

    Not true if I'm understanding you right. I haven't rooted my phone yet and was able to update to 2.0.1 via a zip file that I downloaded from my computer and put on my sd card.

    You do not need to root your phone to force the update manually.
