I had every intention of giving that KB every bit of the benefit of the doubt but, it just plain sucks.

I can not imagine what they were thinking when they signed off on that.

    Almost unuseable.

I agree - it just adds weight to the phone.

I've slid it out a few times but have never really used it. The top row is too hard for me to use....my fat fingers keep hitting the edge of the screen.

Wish they'd offer a version without the physical keyboard.... :(

I have no problems when using the slide-out keyboard. I find it easier to use than the touch screen.

I love the keyboard. Wouldn't have picked the phone if it didn't have it.

    Man.

I have been putting in some serious work on that thing and it's just not clicking for me.

    I shall persevere.

Rarely use it so not sure I have to get used to it. Virtual has suited almost all my needs np.

I use it about half the time, I thought I would use it all the time but I find for short messages I can use one finger on either the portrait or landscape virtual keyboard. But for longer messages I'm still faster with two thumbs on the slide out keyboard. I don't like it as much as my old Curve, but I'm still glad the Droid has it.

For me, the keyboard was the reason I finally went to this smartphone to replace my old flip phone. It certainly could be a lot better, but I personally still need physical buttons for now...

I have no issues with either one and love having the option to use one or the other. I have fat fingers but find both keyboards to be very intuitive

I love it, one of the reasons I picked the droid. I use all 3. Love that I have a choice.

I've tried it and just can't get the hang of it. The virtual one works great for everything I need though :)

Tried the kb and didn't like the fact that the top row keys are so hard to press. I prefer using the virtual kb.

i love both physical and virtual keyboards, but i will say that I *ALWAYS* hit the "U" instead of the "I" using the portrait keyboard.

I like the keyboard. It was one of the selling points for me and I played with the keyboard before buying the phone. Love having the choice of using all three keyboards. It takes some getting used to, though.
