So my wife decided today to get the iPhone 4 and gave me her D1. I am wondering if I can just root it (still have RSD Lite) and then just install the latest Stock Gingerbread build GPA 14 and just take the card from my phone and substitute it whenever I want a change from Bugless Beast.

Is it really that simple or are there complications I need to be aware of? Course I could always use that phone to try out the latest Cyanogen too, lol

    Thanks in advance,
    Marc

It is really that simple. Though you will need to go through the activation process every time you switch.

Or do it on Verizon's site. Either way, real easy.

By the way, since this phone is no longer stock 2.1 but running 2.2.2, does anyone have the link for where I get the latest SPRecovery file? I doubt I still should use SBRecovery for ESE81 sbf file.

    Thanks

OK so my second D1 is now officially rooted. I now have to back up my phone, move the SD card over to the "new" phone, activate, download ROM Manager and then I can go find the next ROM to try......Any of you guys have a really good one worth giving a shot? the only ROMs I have ever used were Pete's and CM6.

    Thanks,
    Marc

I am getting ready to swap out LGB for PE in the next couple days on my wife's D1.
