I know this is probably the forum I should be putting this in but I searched everwhere with not a good answer.

my D1 SD card is full specs:
    Total Space: 14.83GB
    Avaliable: 131MB

I only have like 200 pictures and 39 songs... I downloaded so much crap (APK's and ROMs) I need to know a SAFE way to delete/clean everything in my SD card without conflicting with my phones functionality?

I heard that I can back up app, photo and music into my computer and format my SD card... is this even safe??? :) any ideas?

    Thank you guys!

I did this when i upgraded to bigger sd card on droid 2. I backed up on pc. Formatted card on phone. Went threw all my stuff on pc (used pc for ease of use and speed) and deleted all extra stuff i didnt need anymore. Then put it all back on sd on phone. This worked fine for me with no problems. Hope this helps.

Easiest way - go into settings -> storage -> erase SD card
