I made a custom set of icons that I figured I'd share in case anyone else wanted to use them. Nothing fancy, but they're elegant and simple. They're round glass with a beveled edge. They're transparent so your wallpaper shows through.

Since I only made the icons I wanted to use, I'm including the template so you can make your own.

Let me know if you like them :)

Current full zip file can be downloaded here: http://opalcat.com/android/round-beveled-glass-icons-for-droid-phones

Put the .png files on your SD card in the DCIM folder (make an "icons" subfolder or something) then use BetterCut (get it from the market) to edit your shortcuts.

    i like them nice job

would be better IMO if they weren't so "dull" i really like the "pizza" and camera ones that are a little brighter

If you know how to use Photoshop you can put anything you want in them using the template, as bright as you want. You can also turn off the layer that adds the slight haze over the them (it's separate from the reflection layer). :) (The reason they have a slight purple haze over them is to go with the rest of the stuff on my phone, like my "purple glass" drawer handle and stuff)

I made a brighter set--it just involved changing the "glass" layer to multiply instead of normal. (zip includes new template)

For those without Photoshop (or PS knowledge) I am willing to make matching icons provided you give me the base icon to start with. (A link to an icon at iconspedia.com for example)

Wish the app to use the icons wasn't 2 bucks. There's got to be an easier way to do it, or a free way I should say. I'm cheap, but I'd like to play with customizing my stuff without rooting.
