I disagree. My setup is the best. LOL :icon_ banana:
Sholes Latest 1200 Kernel
ChevyNo1 1200 Kernel
This is really pointless, I believe, everyone has a ROM that THEY prefer. In the past month and a half or so, I have run in this order, BB .74, Sholes 2.0.3, Sholes 2.0.4, Smoked Glass 4.1, BB 2.1, Sholes 2.0.5, Sholes 2.0.6, Smoked Glass 4.5
Running SPRecovery 0.99.3b, have ran everywhere from stock to 1.3GHz. Everytime I flash a new ROM, I feel like I PREFER it over anything else I've had, then I still move on to something else and say the same. Honestly, the 2.1 ROMS aren't worth the bugs right now (LED's, landscape, no MT on some, no auto-brightness) Also, honestly, as long as you don't use the Launcher2.apk, all of the 2.0.1 ROMs are pretty stable. I'd be almost willing to bet that the benchmark differences most see between these ROMs would be some of the same differences we would see if the two phones compared were on the same ROM.
Right now, meaning today, I prefer Smoked Glass 4.5, 1.1GHz, GDE, LiveWallpapers. I really, really like it. I haven't had a single FC from Smoked or GDE on this setup. I guarantee I will be on a different version of some ROM in less than two weeks. FWIW.
im running 2.1 with no bugs
just bad assness
Eh, I like my set up better.
Rooted Moto DROID
OC @ 800 Mhz
DroidMod 1.0 (Tether, Live Wallpapers, all those nice things)
Slightly modified BlackMod Theme(Because skinning through MetaMorph is infinitely better than pre-skinned ROMs).
I don't really understand why you would want to OC past 800 Mhz, everything is smooth at this clock rate, and battery life is great, also my droid never goes above 25C.
And I don't use Swype because I hardly ever use the on-screen keyboard. They physical one is just superior.
sorry guys. MINE is the best.
mine is substantially the same as all of the above but with minor software differences, making it far superior. better luck next time!
you should make a rom outta this.. like a nandroid back up.. so you can like.. hook us all up with that setup.. haha
You should share cause ur the only Guy in the world with a 2.1 rom on a Droid with working auto brightness working leds and working KB backlight.
The user name is fitting & your ePeen weak.
At 1.25GHz, my phone doesn't break 27C when under standard load. And at 1.25GHz, I benched 150ms and came in at #595 on BenchmarkPi - Android Benchmarking Tool
My phone is a beast and my battery life is the same thanks to SetCPU and profiles. :icon_ banana:

ok this may be a total noob question. But will someone please explain to me what a benchmark is?? What is its significance, where is the optimal leve, how do i test it, etc....
Thanks in advance
The benchmark is just the test to see how fast the system is responding. The lower the number the faster it is responding.
Wow......That's cool (thermally ) for that speed.
Did you do anything special for that set up ...or just install it as per instructions in the thread? What the max CPU temp you have seen?
