I found a special ringtone I want to use for calls from my son (I have used it on all my phones - a song he turned me on to years ago -- and I downloaded it via email to my phone. I can play it and download it, but I can't figure out how to get it saved to my Sounds so I can choose it as a ringtone. Anyone know how to do this?

I hope this is the same on the Turbo...it has been on all other Droid's I have owned (and works on my current Droid Maxx). The song / file needs to be in the folder named Ringtones. You should be able to move it from the Downloads folder (where it is probably stored now if you downloaded it from e-mail). You could either connect your phone to a PC and copy & paste the song that way. Or, use a file explorer app like ES File Explorer (there are many good ones...that's just one I have used on several different phones) and copy from Downloads to Ringtones. Then you should see that song when setting the custom ringtone for whichever contact.

I downloaded ES File Explorer and it worked like a charm... thanks!

Awesome! You are very welcome...glad you were able to setup a custom ringtone. I have several mp3 files in my ringtones folder that I use for the same purpose.

I just used ES FE on my Droid Turbo 2. It gave me the options in the phone's ringtone settings to use ES File Manager. When I did, it let me navigate straight to the Music folder and I was able to identify the desired song directly instead of having to move it to the Ringtones folder. Strange that instructions are not in the Droid user manual. There's more than three people that want to set a saved song as a call ringtone.
