i can't hear people when they call!!

i'm having terrible problems with hearing people when they call. ( i have excellent hearing), but people sound so far away. i turned the volumn rocker switch while in call, - nothing. i downloaded Quick Settings and adjusted the in call volumn and the system volumn - nothing. HELP!!

Did you get anything in the speaker? I usually have to turn mine down because its so loud.
