Must have for my Droid
Anyone know of market / non-market app?
Moved to correct sub-forum.
Some more information might help.
no offense but if you dont know what hes asking for i doubt if it would help to get an explanation... tpain uses some kind of voice changing crap.... I can add nothing to this thread
Google > I am T pain > I Am T-Pain : Smule Is Sonic Media
Perhaps there is a similar app developed for android.
its a iphone app its basicly like a dumb downed autotune type thing, makes you sound like t-pain...my friend has it on his isuck
None taken but a better explanation might of gotten me to actually try to look it up to help.
Yep, I'm hoping to annoy the hell out of my wife with a similar app, or port!
iPhone apps cannot be ported to the Android Platform. They have to be totally rewritten.
I guess I have to answer this once a month or so.
I am t-pain uses the proprietary audio processor called Auto-Tune by Antares.
Until Antares releases their Android app you are gonna be out of luck. Your best bet is to email the company. The more responses they get the more inclined they will be to spend money to develop an app for android to make money.
These people are more worried about their bottom line then what pointless app you have on your mobile phone. They make quite a bit for licensing that technology to vocal coders.
Thx for the input!
Rumor has it Voiceband uses auto tune technology. There's a thread here you can search for or go to Youtube or Google. The developer's website has a forum that mentions an Android port. That thread has a fair amount of views compared to the others too.
Voice Band for the iPhone
I took a look at that...it doesn't look like it uses auto-tune at all.
Auto-tune uses pitch correction and if your turn the settings up far enough you get the T-Pain effect. To use Auto-Tune basically all you have to do is talk and it does the rest. It's pretty wild. A lot of preformers will use it during their live shows as an insurance to make sure their show is good.
I think someone on this forum actually sent them email and they responded back saying they are considering it. If you really want it send them an email!
