I am trying to install the simply stunning ROM and i am stuck.
I was following the instructions and it says this....

-Extract the files from the archive using WinRAR or a similar program
-Place the extracted folder (the ROM) into the "nandroid" folder on your sdcard

I have a mac, so i downloaded Ez7z. I'm still unsure as to what "extract files means"

any help would be tremendous!!!! thanks!:icon_ banana:

I use a Mac. WinRAR did not work for me so I downloaded iArchive. Basically, you are working with a zip file. iArchive unzipped the file and displayed four files (boot, data, nandroid, system) I copied those four files to my sd card and used the nandroid backup to install.

you're awesome because you're as responsive as a overclocked droid on sterdroids lol. But could you recommend a kernel? and explain how to install it. if you can, you're officially the coolest mike i've been in communications with!

Another option would be to download straight to your phone. If you have wifi it doesn't take too long, couple few minutes tops. Then using Astro you can extract it there. Doing it this way you will get a folder with the ROMs name open that and there will be another folder with the ROMs name. The second one needs to be moved to your nandroid folder. After that boot into recovery,if coming from 2.0.1 wipe data and cache, then make an advanced nandroid backup, then do an advanced nandroid restore of the ROM you downloaded. If you need more help just ask :icon_ banana:

It seems that each phone responds differently so in some respects it is like and Easter egg hunt:). Many folks seem to have great success with Chevy's 1.0 or 1.2. I use his 1.0 with BuglessBeast 2.1 v0.4 without problems and my phone is really fast.

Ok.....just concerned about all the issues going back and forth with clockwork recovery around here. :icon_eek:
If you're on DM just remember you must wipe data and cache before you flash Simply Stunning and you should be good to go.

Not trying to get on you or anything but I see this is your second thread which is pretty much a continuation of your other one "dumbest question". Should have stayed in that thread. Its hard keeping things organized if you start new threds with each issue of the same problem. Just for future reference.

Gotta ask. Did you wipe data and cache before restoring the nandroid?
