    Thia is going to be amazing. I just hope this update works out and that it is what we are hoping it to be.

    Well, don't get too excited. That was done on a N1 and we all know there is a huge difference between 2.1 on N1 and the Droid.

    So is I'm already rooted, what does this mean? Will I be able to get the speed on my rooted droid (I'm clocked at 1.1ghz)

    @Hookbill If you look at the Linpack reports there is already a few Droids clocking in at 38

    I agree... Hopefully the 2.2 rollout is a lot smoother. Sounds like they have their act together this time.

    Maybe when the source code is released for 2.2 you will see that kind of speed from Cyanogen but with a 1ghz kern and JIT on Cyanogen now you can hit atleast 12 MFlops I'm pushing 14 MFlops right now without much tweaking

    there are Droids clocking in at 38MFlops already but I would think those are Adobe devs with 2.2 testing stuff out on other units maybe...
