How committed is Huawei to advancing the evolution of the developer community? One billion dollars committed. At least, that's what they shared with the community recently. China's Huawei Technologies Co Ltd just today publicly declared they plan to spend $1 billion to support information and communication technology developers over the next five years.
Ryan Ding, Huawei executive director and president of products and solutions, added, "The aim is to help developers create innovative services and rapidly respond to customers' business needs." No word was shared on how they plan to organize and distribute this investment, but we imagine that will come very soon. It could be a very lucrative time to start working on development for Chinese Android smartphones.
