Huawei Officially Unveils P9 & P9 Plus; Plans to Sell Flagship Devices in US this Year (not the P9)

We have some cool Huawei news, and some Huawei news which is mostly useless to US smartphone consumers. First the good news: Huawei has finally announced their plans to start selling a flagship level device in the United States sometime later this year (2016). No details were shared as to what kind of device Huawei plans to introduce into the US market to compete with Apple, Samsung, LG and the rest, but we will be sure to share any new info as it is released.

The second bit of news today is that Huawei officially unveiled their P9 and P9 Plus smartphones. This is mostly useless to US customers, because the phone will not be officially sold in the US. Still, for our valuable members internationally, we would be remiss if we didn't share the details on this new release from the impressive Huawei.

The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus will both launch April 16th. Here are the pricing details made available:

• P9 32GB/3GB model = €599
  
• P9 64GB/4GB = €649
• P9 Plus = €749

Glad to see them getting serious about the US. Love my 6P. Not a fan of what I've seen of their skin/UI in videos, but that could be remedied with a launcher/etc. if I was really interested in one of their phones.
