HTC has taken to Twitter again. This time they teased that "Something HUGE" is coming. Current speculation is that they are referring to an HTC One M9 Plus/Ace/Ultra device of some kind. This is likely a larger, phablet-style version of the HTC One M9.

What's intriguing is that HTC's definition of a phablet style device may not be that "huge" after all though. Either that, or they have three devices coming (which is possible if we count the HTC One M9, HTC One M9 Plus/Ace/Ultra, and the rumored HTC Butterfly 3). The reason we are bringing this up is because the Tweet above isn't the only HTC intel we found today. Some new benchmarks leaked of two devices.

One is a device with the model name 0PJA13 which is very likely the HTC One M9 (Hima). It has all the bells & whistles that we have already reported regarding this device. The other benchmark is for a device with model name 0PK71. What distinguishes this device is that it has a MediaTek MT6795 1.9GHz octa-core processor instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, and it also has a 5.1-inch QHD 2K 2560 x 1440 display.

If this is the "HUGE" device they are talking about, then that is rather small for a phablet. Of course, their teaser could just as easily be talking about a different 5.5-inch (or larger) device that hasn't been leaked yet. Either way, it makes for an interesting entourage.

The image and links for the HTC device benchmarks are in the thread below, and you can find more discussions regarding the HTC One M9 in this section: HTC One M9 Android Forum at DroidForums.net

Maybe this will be different, but I still can't understand why nearly all the "mini" devices are so low spec...it's as if manufacturers think people only buy the smaller phones because it's all they can afford.

12mp front camera! I hope the new camera performs that's the only flaw I've had with my m8.

I think their reasoning is those sell better in emerging markets. Like a drug dealer gives one that first taste for free. There is a market for those that want a smaller device but higher specs too and just like dumbphones being like the dinosaur now they ignore it totally.
12mp front camera? That's another one I don't get. Why ginormous front cameras?

I think the 12mp is to prepare for that odd selfie craze that seems to be becoming a bit popular.

Yep. Like it or not, selfies are a big thing right now. Several OEMs want to try to cash in on that while they can.
