HTC Might Change the Name of Their Flagship; May Drop the M9

    The above is an artist's concept render of the HTC One M9 found randomly on the web.

    There's a new rumor floating around the web that HTC might be toying with the idea of dropping the M9 moniker from their next HTC One flagship. So far, they have had good luck with the HTC One M7 and M8, so we aren't sure why they would consider changing it. Still, the M series was originally just their internal codename anyway. It was probably only because of repeated leaks that HTC ended up using the M8 in the final retail name at all.

    No specifics were given as to what HTC might change the name to, so this doesn't really count as a big leak. Somehow we don't think a simple name change will be what is required to help HTC regain a stronger marketshare. What do you think?
