Is there anyway to put the HTC keyboard on my Droid 1, without having to root?

I can post up the .apk for you then use a file explorer like Astro to install it. Are you familiar with doing this?

I'm pretty sure I'd be able to do that. If not it's not that big of a deal

Sounds like a site issue. Let me double check the link. Sometimes it takes a minute to process since I literally just batched it. I'll check.

Worked for me. I can .zip it if you want to download it, unzip it, right from your computer?

From your PC, the .apk is in that .zip, so unzip it to your desktop, transfer to SD card via usb, then proceed as before.

OK I guess I don't know how to install it. I have it on my SD card now and I'm in Astro, but when I long hold there is not an Install option, and if I click on the file more files just open from it.
