I got someone's old HTC Incredible a few years back and have been using it for the last year or more. They had it in a drawer for awhile, so it has an older OS on it...Android version 2.2 (Froyo). I'm not a big cell phone user, so I didn't know any better at the time. However, every once in awhile, I get an update available notice and it tries to update to 4.08 (Gingerbread) and fails. I believe it is because it needs to update to 4.06.605.3 first before going to 4.08. Anyway, I'm not a cell phone super user and have been unable to find out how I get my old 3.26.605.1 to 4.08? I believe it needs the 2 updates mentioned above. I don't really care that much, but the constant update available messages drive me close to a state of insanity...so, that is my motivation...let me clarify...not the insanity part, but the update part...whew...OK, I know this is a long shot, but anyone care to tutor me? My phone is stock and unrooted.
