I have a Verizon HTC Desire 612 and Verizon assured me the phone is totally unlocked for use with any carrier. They further directed me to their site where they give 000000,123456 as unlock codes should you be prompted for one.
But whenever I try to use a non-Verizon SIM, I get the error attached on the screen grab; 'non Verizon SIM: this sim is from an unknown source'
The phone won't recognize the SIM card. I have s-off it by Sunshine and rooted it with KingRoot. Please advise on how to go about removing this pop up
